how do i fix "printer cartridge is not woking" message? new cartridges from hp, neither is expired.

To fix the "printer cartridge is not working" message on your HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One printer, try the following troubleshooting steps.

 

Check the Cartridges:

  • Ensure the new cartridges are installed properly. Remove and reinsert them to ensure they are seated correctly.
  • Make sure the protective tape on the cartridges has been removed completely.

Clean the Contacts:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Open the cartridge access door and remove the cartridges.
  • Gently clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and in the cartridge slot using a soft, lint-free cloth or cotton swab lightly dampened with water.
  • Let the contacts dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.

Reset the Printer:

  • With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord from the printer.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.
  • Turn on the printer and check if the message is cleared.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check for firmware updates on the printer using the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP website.
  • Installing the latest firmware can sometimes resolve issues with cartridge recognition.

Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure the cartridges you are using are compatible with your printer model. Sometimes, third-party or refilled cartridges can cause issues even if they are not expired.

Check for Blockages or Paper Jam:

  • Ensure there are no blockages, paper jams, or other obstructions inside the printer that could be interfering with the cartridge detection.
