Welcome to the HP Community --

Not once in all the times I've answered this question is the answer the one expected.

Cartridge Protection is used to prevent installed Ink cartridges from being removed from a single (or fleet of) HP printer(s) and then installed in some different random printer.  The point is to deter theft, for example, in a work place environment.

IF that is what you want, then sure -- this is the answer you seek:

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Tab Settings > Supplies > Supply Settings > Cartridge Protection = OFF or ON

OR

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Section Supplies > tab Supply Settings > Cartridge Protection = OFF or ON

The Cartridge Protection feature permanently protects cartridges for use in only one fleet of products or product to help prevent theft.

If, after cartridges have been protected, they are moved to a device outside the fleet (fleet based) or to a different printer (printer based), these cartridges will be identified as protected and will have to be replaced to continue printing.

More likely, you are asking to bypass the requirement for HP chipped cartridges.

There is no legal way to do that on a printer protected by Dynamic Security.

True - not all "non-HP" ink makers use HP chipped cartridges - Contact your ink supplier to ask about their policies.
