Hi @Samboinn

If your HP Ink Tank 315 is printing an excessive amount of magenta, leading to color imbalance in your printed images, consider following these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Check Ink Levels:

    • Ensure that all the ink tanks have adequate ink levels. Sometimes, if other colors (cyan or yellow) are low, it might lead to an imbalance.
  2. Printhead Cleaning:

    • Access the printer settings from your computer and run a printhead cleaning cycle. Cleaning the printhead can resolve issues related to clogged nozzles that might be causing the color imbalance.
  3. Align Printheads:

    • Aligning the printheads can help ensure that all colors are being printed correctly. You can usually find this option in the printer settings or maintenance menu.
  4. Check Printer Settings:

    • Ensure that the print job settings are set to default or automatic mode. Manual color settings can sometimes cause an imbalance if not configured properly.
  5. Run a Print Quality Diagnostic Page:

    • Use the HP printer software to print a diagnostic page. This can help identify if there is a specific problem with one color cartridge or printhead.
  6. Update Printer Drivers:

    • Make sure the latest drivers and firmware are installed for your printer. Visit the HP support website and download any available updates.
  7. Examine the Paper Type:

    • Ensure you are using the correct paper type. Different paper settings can alter how ink is deposited and absorbed.
  8. Reload Paper and Perform a Test Print:

    • Sometimes simply removing and reloading the paper can reset any errors. Follow this with a test print to see if the issue persists.
  9. Reset to Factory Settings:

    • If all else fails, you might consider resetting the printer to its factory settings. This will clear any incorrectly configured settings that could be affecting print output.

I hope this helps!
