I have changed my printer's inks now, but it doesn't print yet.

Hi @MonaRio,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've replaced the ink cartridges in your HP OfficeJet Pro 6968, but you're still experiencing issues with printing. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem.

  • Check Ink Cartridge Installation: Ensure the ink cartridges are properly installed and seated correctly. Sometimes, if they aren’t clicked into place fully, the printer won't recognize them.
  • Check for Ink Levels: Make sure the printer recognizes the new cartridges. You can check the ink levels via the printer's display or through the HP Smart app.
  • Clean Printhead: Sometimes, even with new cartridges, the printhead can get clogged. You can run a printhead cleaning cycle from the printer’s control panel or through the HP Smart app.
  • Perform a Printer Reset: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. This can sometimes resolve recognition issues.
  • Check Paper: Ensure there is paper in the tray and the paper isn’t jammed.
  • Try Printing a Test Page: Print a test page from the printer's settings or via the HP Smart app to see if the printer can produce any output.
  • Reinstall Printer Drivers: Sometimes, outdated or corrupted drivers can prevent the printer from functioning. You can uninstall the printer from your computer and reinstall the latest drivers from HP's website.
  • Check for Error Messages: Look for any error messages or warning lights on the printer display and resolve them if necessary.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
