Check Ink Levels: Ensure that there is sufficient ink in the cartridges. You can check the estimated ink levels via the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app.

Print a Test Page: To determine if the issue is specific to Notepad or the printer:

  • Access the printer control panel.
  • Find the option to print a test page which checks the printer's functionality.

Reinstall the Printer Driver: Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can cause issues:

  • Go to the HP website at HP Drivers & Downloads and download the latest driver for your printer model.
  • Uninstall the current driver and install the new one.

Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer settings are correct:

  • Make sure the paper size and type in the printer driver match the paper loaded in the tray.
  • Verify that all pages are set to “Print” and not “Do Not Print.”

Run Printer Diagnostics: Use HP’s diagnostic tools:

  • Open HP Smart app and run any available diagnostic tests to identify and fix issues.

Evaluate Printhead Condition: Issues with the printhead can cause blank pages:

  • Use the cleaning utility in the HP software to clean the printhead.
