Hi @ixnixn,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're encountering an "incompatible HP cartridge" error message, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

Verify Compatibility: Ensure that the cartridge you're trying to use is compatible with your specific HP printer model. Sometimes, cartridges may look similar but are designed for different printer models.

Reinstall Cartridge: Remove the cartridge from the printer and reinstall it. Make sure it's properly seated in the cartridge slot.

Clean Contacts: Sometimes, the metal contacts on the cartridge or inside the printer can become dirty or covered in ink residue. Gently clean these contacts with a lint-free cloth or cotton swab dampened with distilled water. Be sure not to touch the ink nozzles.

Reset Printer: Turn off your printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for a few minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset the printer's internal sensors and resolve compatibility issues.

Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the printer's firmware can resolve compatibility issues with newer cartridges.

Try a Different Cartridge: If possible, try using a different cartridge to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem lies with the cartridge itself or with the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
