Hi @miteshblu,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're encountering the "indicated cartridges are not intended for this printer" error with your HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545 e-All-in-One Printer after replacing the cartridges,

here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:

Verify Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Ensure that the cartridges you are using are compatible with the HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3545. Check for the cartridge number (usually something like 678 or similar) and make sure they match the specifications in your printer manual.

Check for Protective Tape:

  • Make sure any protective tape or plastic covering on the cartridge’s contact points has been removed. This tape is often placed on new cartridges to prevent ink leakage during shipping.

Inspect Cartridge Contacts:

  • Clean the copper contact points on both the cartridges and the printer’s cartridge holder with a lint-free cloth or a cotton swab lightly moistened with distilled water. This can help ensure a good electrical connection.

Reinstall Cartridges:

  • Remove the cartridges and reseat them properly. Make sure they click into place securely.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Although you mentioned you have the latest firmware, it’s worth checking again on the HP support website for any recent updates or patches.

Reset Printer:

  • Perform a hard reset of the printer. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the wall outlet, and wait for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
