this is the first time this has happened to me.. i purchased an x large 62 ink ,  color and black for my printer.  the Black works fine but the color does not work at all.   I paid $50.00 for this 

 

how do I get a working ink cartridge?

It sounds like your color ink cartridge might be defective or not properly installed. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and get a working replacement if needed:

 

Check the Cartridge Installation

  • Turn off your HP printer and unplug it.
  • Open the ink cartridge compartment and remove the color cartridge.
  • Reinsert it firmly and make sure it clicks into place.  

Check Ink Levels & Alignment

  • Print a test page to check if any color ink is printing.
  • If the printer has an alignment option, run it to ensure proper functioning.

Try Another Cartridge (if available)

  • If you have an old color cartridge, insert it to see if the issue is with the printer or the new cartridge.
