Product: HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i purchased a 2nd hand hp envy 7640 all in one printer that came with extra ink cartridges. it made copies at first but then stopped and the panel on front displays cant use cartridge til registered with hp instant ink. if its been discontinued (the printer) then surely the subscription has also expired also. anyway to get around this?

If the cartridges are marked "instant ink" or "subscription" then no they will not work and you will need to purchase standard retail cartridges. The instant ink cartridges are only valid while the unit is covered by a subscription.
