Hello my HP3637 has full ink but is not printing at all

Try these Troubleshooting Steps:

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure the printer is turned on and connected to the power source.
  • Verify that there are no error messages or blinking lights on the printer’s control panel.

Verify Ink Cartridges:

  • Open the printer and check that the ink cartridges are properly installed.
  • Make sure the cartridges are compatible with the printer and securely seated.
  • Remove the cartridges and gently clean the electrical contacts using a lint-free cloth.

Perform Printer Head Cleaning:

  • Sometimes the printhead needs cleaning to resolve printing issues.
  • Use the printer software on your computer to start printhead cleaning. This can usually be found in the maintenance or tools section of the printer software.

Paper and Print Settings:

  • Ensure that the paper is loaded correctly in the input tray and the paper guides are aligned.
  • Verify that the paper type and size settings in the printer software match what is loaded in the tray.

Run Printer Diagnostics:

  • Use the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool to troubleshoot and diagnose printing issues. Download the tool from the HP Support website.

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

 

Reset Printer:

  • Perform a printer reset:
    • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
    • Wait for about one minute.
    • Plug in the printer and turn it back on.

Check Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or your network if you are using a wireless connection.
  • Reconnect the printer to your network or USB port and verify the connection.

Steps to Perform Printhead Cleaning Using Windows

  1. Open HP Printer Assistant:
    • Open HP Printer Assistant from your computer.
  2. Select Printer Maintenance:
    • Click on the "Printer Maintenance" or "Tools" section.
  3. Clean Printhead:
    • Select the option to "Clean Printhead" and follow the on-screen instructions.
