I signed up to HP Instant Ink years ago. HP always took more money than the ink I used but I figured for £3.99 per month it wasn't worth my while worrying about it too much.
My problems started in January 2024, when my printer suddenly stopped working. I contacted HP for advice on this and an agent tried to resolve the issue but wasn't able too. He was due to call back the following day but this never happened.
My work life and personal life are incredibly busy and as a result I have only today managed to contact HP again to try and cancel my account, and claim a refund back to the last time I was actually sent ink (April 2022). So I was hoping for a refund of £111.72 but was offered £19.95.
I was told that I could only receive this amount as I hadn't brought the problem to the attention of HP, despite the fact I had. I also was under the impression that HP could monitor ink usage so why they've been taking money from me for 28 months I have no idea??!! HP put my subscription up, which I then reduced to the minimum and then it was put it up again.
I've also seen that my case has been closed now which I certainly didn't agree to!
A response would be appreciated although I'm not holding out hope so will take to other means otherwise.
