Welcome to HP Support Community, @Sandy4477

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

1. Verify Cartridge Installation

Remove the cyan cartridge.

Reinsert it firmly to ensure proper seating.

Make sure you hear or feel it lock into place.

2. Run Printer Maintenance / Printhead Cleaning

Go to the printer’s control panel.

Open Setup → Printer Maintenance.

Run Printhead Cleaning.

If the issue persists, run a Deep Cleaning cycle (if available).

3. Check for Printhead Clogs

If cleaning does not improve print quality, the printhead may have a blocked nozzle.

Perform multiple cleaning cycles (up to 3 times maximum).

Avoid excessive cleaning as it uses ink rapidly.

4. Update Printer Firmware

Outdated firmware can cause ink detection or print quality issues.

Update via:

HP Smart App, or

HP Support website → enter T630 model → download latest firmware.

5. Perform Printhead Alignment

On the printer menu, go to Setup → Align Printhead.

Misalignment can cause missing colors, including cyan.

6. Inspect the Printhead (if accessible)

Power off the printer and open the printhead access area.

Check for:

Dried ink buildup

Physical damage

Ink leaks

Only clean using HP-approved methods (no alcohol or tap water).

7. Confirm Ink Levels

On the control panel, check that the cyan level is detected correctly.

If not, restart the printer.

Reseat the cartridge again.

8. Reset the Printer

Turn off the printer.

Unplug it from power for 60 seconds.

Plug it back in and restart.

This can clear temporary firmware or ink-system glitches.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
