replaced ink, does not print blue.  was not printing color before changing but attributed to empty cartridges.  have performed five cycles of cleaning printhead with no change.  This is not marginal, test page blue is absolutely white, no ink; green is yellow.

@Mike6629,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Envy 5010 has a clogged or defective printhead, particularly affecting the cyan ink. Since you've already performed multiple printhead cleanings with no improvement, try the following steps:

Check Ink Levels & Cartridges:

  • Ensure the replacement cartridge is genuine and properly installed.
  • Confirm that the protective tape was removed from the new cartridge.

Manually Clean the Printhead:

  • Remove the color ink cartridge.
  • Use a lint-free cloth dampened with warm distilled water or isopropyl alcohol to gently wipe the printhead nozzle.
  • Let it dry completely before reinstalling.

Try a Hard Reset:

  • Power off the printer and unplug it from the wall.
  • Wait 10–15 minutes before plugging it back in and turning it on.
  • Run another print test.

Use Different Cleaning Mode (If Available):

  • In some HP printers, there’s a "Second Level Cleaning" option in the printer software (under Printer Maintenance). Try running that.

Try a Different Cartridge:

  • If possible, test with another color ink cartridge to rule out a faulty one.

Print a Diagnostic Page:

  • Open Printer Settings > Print Quality Report (or similar).
  • Check if cyan appears at all. If not, the printhead may be permanently clogged or defective..

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
