Hi @builderdirectkc,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Officejet Pro 8028e All-In-One Printer is not printing cyan despite replacing the cartridge and performing multiple cleaning and alignment cycles, there are several potential issues to consider.
Printhead Blockage
Perform a deep cleaning cycle. This is usually more intensive than a standard cleaning cycle and can sometimes clear up more stubborn blockages. Refer to your printer's manual for the exact procedure.
Printhead Alignment
Ensure that the printhead alignment process has been done correctly. Misalignment can sometimes cause color issues.
Printhead Failure
If the printhead itself is damaged or clogged beyond repair, you might need to replace it.
Software/Driver Issues
Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes, an outdated driver can cause printing issues. Go to the HP support website, find the latest drivers for your printer model, and install them.
Firmware Update
Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Firmware updates can resolve various issues, including printing problems. You can find firmware updates on the HP support website.
Cartridge Contacts
Make sure the cartridge contacts are clean. Turn off the printer and gently clean the electrical contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer with a lint-free cloth and a small amount of distilled water or isopropyl alcohol. Allow it to dry before reinserting the cartridge.
Air Bubbles in the Ink Cartridge
Sometimes, air bubbles can get trapped in the ink cartridge, preventing ink from flowing. Try removing the cartridge and gently tapping it to dislodge any bubbles.
Reset the Printer
Resetting the printer can sometimes clear up issues. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a minute, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
