Hi @KT816,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're unable to find the option to print in color with your HP Envy 6055e on macOS Sonoma 14.5, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Update Printer Drivers
Check for Driver Updates:
- Visit the HP Support website and search for your HP Envy 6055e.
- Download and install the latest drivers compatible with macOS Sonoma.
Install Drivers:
- Follow the installation instructions for the downloaded driver package. Restart your Mac if prompted.
2. Set Up Printer Preferences
Open System Settings:
- Go to System Settings (or System Preferences if you’re using an older version) > Printers & Scanners.
Select Printer:
- Click on your HP Envy 6055e from the list of printers.
Open Print Preferences:
- Click Options & Supplies.
- Go to the Driver tab and make sure the correct driver is selected.
3. Adjust Print Settings in the Print Dialog
Open Document:
- Open the document or image you want to print.
Open Print Dialog:
- Go to File > Print or press Cmd + P.
Show Details:
- Click on the Show Details button (if visible) to expand the print options.
Select Color Option:
- Look for a drop-down menu or an option related to Color. It might be under Print Settings, Layout, or Printer Features.
- Ensure that Color is selected rather than Black & White or Grayscale.
Check Presets:
- Sometimes, printer presets might override your settings. Ensure that no preset is forcing black-and-white printing.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
