Hi @jules8591

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

If you're looking to clean the ink cartridges on your HP ENVY 6020e, you can follow these steps to clean the printheads:

Using the HP Smart App:

  1. Open HP Smart: Launch the HP Smart app on your Windows 11 computer.
  2. Select Your Printer: Click on your printer icon.
  3. Printer Maintenance: Look for a section labeled "Printer Maintenance" or "Tools."
  4. Clean Printhead: If available, select the option to "Clean Printhead" or "Clean Cartridges." Follow the prompts to complete the cleaning process.

Using Printer Settings:

  1. Control Panel: If you don’t have the HP Smart app, you can also access the printer settings through Windows:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
    • Select your HP ENVY 6020e and click on Manage.
    • Look for an option related to maintenance or settings that allows you to clean the printheads.

Manual Cleaning:

If the above methods don’t work or aren’t available:

  1. Power Off the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  2. Remove Cartridges: Carefully remove the ink cartridges.
  3. Clean the Printhead: Dampen a lint-free cloth with distilled water or a printhead cleaning solution and gently wipe the printhead contacts (the copper-colored area) to remove any dried ink.
  4. Reinsert Cartridges: Allow everything to dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.
  5. Run a Test Print: After reassembly, power the printer back on and print a test page.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.
