Hi y'all, I have the OfficeJet 6968 and was able to print in color a few days ago but now I can't. The color has run out of the cartridges, so I just bought new ones and it's still not working. I've also cleaned & aligned the print heads multiple times and turned it off/on. I've gotten a small bit of cyan, but no magenta or yellow to show up. Help??? Thanks!

@Siggi9, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Color Printing Issues on HP OfficeJet 6968!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If your HP OfficeJet 6968 printer has recently stopped printing in color even after changing the ink cartridges, it might be caused by several issues. Here's a detailed step-by-step guide to help resolve the problem:
Step 1: Clean and Align Printheads
Since you have already cleaned and aligned the printheads multiple times, make sure you've done this correctly:
- From the printer control panel, navigate to the Setup or Printer Maintenance option.
- Select Clean Printhead.
- Perform the alignment by navigating to Setup and selecting Align Printhead.
Step 2: Check Ink Cartridge
Ensure the new cartridges are installed correctly:
- Open the ink cartridge access door.
- Check the ink cartridge numbers and compare them with the compatible cartridge numbers for your printer model. Ensure the cartridges are seated properly.
Step 3: Reset the Printer
Resetting the printer can also resolve minor issues:
- Turn the printer off by pressing the power button.
- Wait for 60 seconds.
- Turn the printer back on.
Step 4: Print a Diagnostic Page
Printing a diagnostic page can help determine if there is an issue with a specific color:
- From the printer control panel, navigate to Setup or Tools.
- Select Printer Status Report or Print Quality Report.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
