HP Officejet Pro 8035 has suddenly stopped printing cyan. HP Print/Scxan Doctor has been run, Print head cleaning cycle has been run 5 times and three new cartridges have been tried. All to no avail. I have a backgoround in technical maintenance. Is ther a service manual available for this printer?

Hi @BennEileenDover,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8035 not printing cyan. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

Here are some steps you might consider to troubleshoot the issue further:

  • Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the cyan cartridge is properly installed and seated in the printer. Sometimes, cartridges may not be seated correctly, leading to printing issues.
  • Clean Cartridge Contacts: Remove the cyan cartridge and gently clean the contacts on both the cartridge and inside the printer where the cartridge is inserted. This can help ensure good electrical contact, which is necessary for proper printing.
  • Inspect the Printhead: The issue might be with the printhead rather than the cartridge itself. Inspect the printhead for any clogs or obstructions. If there's visible buildup or clogging, you can try cleaning it with distilled water and a lint-free cloth.
  • Update Firmware/Driver: Ensure that your printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve printing issues by fixing bugs or improving compatibility.r Software and Drivers for HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer
