I have a HP2700 all in one deskjet printer which had been printing all photographs really good and clear, then for no reason I can figure out started printing anything in colour with a green all over tinge. I've tried the alignment check, diagnostic check and have new genuine ink cartridges fitted. Can anyone help?

Hi @Myallmar09,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thanks for reaching out, and I'm sorry to hear your HP DeskJet 2700 All-in-One is having issues printing photos with a green tinge. Since you’ve already tried alignment, diagnostics, and replaced the ink cartridges with genuine HP ones, let’s go through a few more steps to help resolve this color issue:
1. Print a Color Diagnostic Page
To confirm which color might be the issue:
- Open the HP Smart app or go to your printer’s Embedded Web Server (if connected to Wi-Fi).
- Run a Print Quality Diagnostic Page.
- Look carefully at the color bars. If any are missing or look off (especially magenta or cyan), it indicates a cartridge or nozzle problem.
2. Check for Blocked Nozzles (Even with New Cartridges)
New cartridges can still have dry ink at the nozzle:
- From the HP Smart app or your computer’s printer utility, choose Clean Printhead.
- Run the cleaning process 2–3 times, with a test print between each.
3. Update the Printer Firmware
An outdated firmware can affect color calibration:
4. Check Printer Settings (Color Management)
On your computer:
- In the print dialog box, click More Settings → ensure Color is selected (not “Grayscale”).
- Click on Printer Properties → Advanced → check for color profiles or print settings that could be affecting tone.
- Try selecting Photo Paper as media type even if you’re using standard paper.
5. Try a Test Print from a Different App or Device
If you're printing from Microsoft Word or another app, try printing the same image from a different program (like Windows Photos or the HP Smart app) or a smartphone.
Sometimes the issue is not the printer but how the application interprets color.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for your reply, I have tried what was suggested and still the photographs are printing out with the green tinge right across the page. Since getting the printer I have only used the genuine ink cartridges for the machine.
Since inserting the new cartridges on Monday and trying the different suggestions shown in HP Support and the suggestions you have given I have used the full cartridges.
I'm not prepared to waste any more time or ink on this problem. I'm going to replace the printer hopefully with one that takes the same ink cartridges as I bought extra to ensure I had enough to finish my printing project.
Thank you for your suggestions
