My printer is giving me a message "Remove and install the indicated ink cartridge, making sure it is correctly installed, and then touch OK."  I've tried with no luck.  I've also tried cleaning it, as well as unplugging it and plugging it back in.  Nothing is working.  I don't have an extra color cartridge to see if that would solve the problem.

To be able to answer you effectively, we need some information

 

May I have the exact product name and number? Refer to this document for steps to find the product details. Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

 

Meanwhile, perform the steps from this document here and see how it goes. 

Also, update the firmware

I purchased two new ink cartridges for my HP5660 printer (Order H352577556) on 12/18/22.  I recently installed both cartridges and the black ink cartridge showed low right away. Color cartridge shows full.  The printer was working even with low black ink alert.  Today, pages are blank and I receive a message on my laptop that the ink cartridge may be counterfeit. Since the cartridges came from HP that is not possible. I have tried cleaning the cartridge as per your instructions with no results.  I have tried printing a test page and an alignment page and both were blank.  I have owned this printer for years with no issue until I installed your new ink cartridges.   I am requesting that HP send me two new cartridges to the address on my previous order and at no cost as I do not feel that I should have to pay another $101.73.
