Hi @Marthur4,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're experiencing lines through images when printing with your HP Neverstop Laser MFP, here are some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:
Step 1: Check the Toner Level
Ensure the toner level is adequate. Low toner levels can affect print quality.
- Check Toner Level: Use the printer's control panel or HP software on your computer to check the toner level.
- Refill Toner: If the toner level is low, refill it using the correct toner for your printer.
Step 2: Clean the Imaging Drum
Lines on prints can sometimes be caused by a dirty imaging drum.
- Turn Off the Printer: Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Access the Imaging Drum: Open the printer and locate the imaging drum.
- Clean the Drum: Gently clean the imaging drum with a lint-free cloth and avoid touching the drum surface with your fingers.
Step 3: Run the Printer's Cleaning Cycle
Most printers have a built-in cleaning cycle to help maintain print quality.
- Open Printer Menu: Use the printer's control panel to access the menu.
- Select Maintenance or Tools: Navigate to the maintenance or tools section.
- Run Cleaning Cycle: Select the option to run the cleaning cycle and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 4: Check for Firmware Updates
Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date.
- Visit HP Support: Go to the HP Support website.
- Search for Your Printer Model: Enter your printer model and look for firmware updates.
- Download and Install: Follow the instructions to download and install any available updates.
Step 5: Check Paper Quality and Settings
Poor paper quality or incorrect settings can affect print quality.
- Use High-Quality Paper: Ensure you are using high-quality, compatible paper.
- Check Paper Settings: Verify that the paper settings in the printer driver match the type of paper you are using.
Step 6: Inspect and Replace Defective Parts
Sometimes, a defective part can cause print quality issues.
- Check for Defects: Inspect the imaging drum and toner cartridge for defects or damage.
- Replace if Necessary: Replace any defective parts with new, compatible ones.
Step 7: Perform a Factory Reset
If the issue persists, a factory reset might help.
- Turn Off the Printer: Press the power button to turn off the printer.
- Unplug the Printer: Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait: Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Reconnect and Reset: Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer. Follow the printer manual to perform a factory reset.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
