@Amit2812, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Issues with Black Print Quality!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your printer is not printing dark black enough when performing black and white printing, follow these troubleshooting steps to enhance the print quality:

Step 1: Check Printer Settings

Ensure that the print settings are correct and optimized for black printing:

  1. Open the print dialog from the software program you are using.
  2. Select the printer and click on the Properties or Preferences button.
  3. Ensure that the print quality is set to the highest available option.
  4. If provided, disable the "Print in Grayscale" option to avoid printing using mixed color inks instead of pure black.

Step 2: Inspect the Toner or Ink Cartridge

Check the toner or ink cartridge to ensure it is functioning properly:

  1. Remove the cartridge and check for any visible damage.
  2. Shake the cartridge gently to redistribute the toner if using a laser printer.
  3. Ensure the cartridge is installed correctly.

Step 3: Print a Print Quality Report

Printing a quality report can help diagnose the issue:

  1. From the printer control panel, navigate to the Setup menu.
  2. Select Printer Maintenance or Reports menu.
  3. Print a Print Quality Report and examine the black print area for inconsistencies.

Step 4: Perform a Printer Calibration

Calibrating your printer can optimize print quality:

  1. Navigate to the Printer Maintenance menu.
  2. Select Color Calibration or the equivalent feature for your model.
  3. Initiate the calibration process and wait for it to complete.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
