Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My hp phtosmark c4480 wont print anything even though i changed the ink. Hp print and scan doctor is not able to help me at all. Is this a printhead problem? Do I have to buy a new printer?

@japanezlady, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

I understand the printer is printing blank pages. 

 

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

 

Try making a standalone copy in black and color to check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Clean the ink cartridges up to 2 times and print a quality report as shown in this document - No black ink, wrong colors, other print quality issues

 

If the issue persists after replacing the ink cartridge, then yes, it could be the printer. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
