Hi @Reconciliation,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP printer is encountering an issue after changing the cartridges, and the error code "E0" is being displayed. The exact steps to resolve this problem can vary depending on the model of your HP printer, but here are some general troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Open the cartridge access door and ensure that the cartridges are properly installed. They should click into place.
- Close the cartridge access door and plug the printer back in.
Clean the Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the cartridges and gently clean the copper-colored contacts on the cartridges with a lint-free cloth and distilled water.
- Allow the contacts to dry completely before reinserting the cartridges.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Follow the instructions to update the firmware.
Use Genuine HP Cartridges:
- Ensure that you are using genuine HP cartridges. Non-HP cartridges can sometimes cause compatibility issues.
Check for Obstructions:
- Open the printer and check for any obstructions or debris that might be causing the error.
Perform a Hard Reset:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
