Hi @KATSOLY,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To address alignment issues with your HP OfficeJet 4655 All-In-One Printer, you can perform a hard reset and alignment through the following steps.
Hard Reset
- Turn Off the Printer:
- Make sure the printer is powered on.
- Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait for at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the back of the printer.
- Turn the printer back on.
Perform Alignment
Access Printer Settings:
- On the printer's control panel, tap the Home button if it's not already on the main screen.
- Navigate to Setup (gear icon).
Initiate Alignment:
- From the Setup menu, select Printer Maintenance or Tools.
- Select Align Printer or Align Printhead.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process. The printer will print an alignment page.
Scan Alignment Page:
- Place the alignment page face down on the scanner glass.
- Close the scanner lid.
- Press OK to scan the alignment page. This process will calibrate the printer for optimal print quality.
Additional Steps
Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date by visiting the HP support website and downloading the latest firmware for your printer model.
Check Ink Cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink levels.
- Clean the ink cartridges using the printer's maintenance tools.
Print Diagnostic Page:
- Print a diagnostic page to check for any other issues with the print quality.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
