Hi @2ETA,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code Oxc19a0023 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8715 typically indicates a printhead problem. Here are steps you can follow to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue.
Turn Off and Unplug: Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.
Check Printhead Installation:
- Open the printer’s access door to the printhead.
- Remove the printhead by gently releasing the latches or levers holding it in place.
- Check for any protective tape or packing materials that might still be on the printhead or cartridges.
- Reinstall the printhead carefully, ensuring it is properly seated and locked into place.
Clean the Printhead Contacts:
- With the printhead removed, gently clean the copper-colored contacts on both the printhead and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth slightly moistened with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol. Allow everything to dry completely before reinstalling.
Check Cartridges:
- Ensure that the ink cartridges are properly installed and seated. Remove and reinstall them to be sure.
Perform a Printer Reset:
- Some printers allow you to perform a reset via the printer's settings menu. If your printer has this option, try performing a factory reset.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Check for any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues.
Inspect for Damage:
- Look for any visible damage to the printhead or the area where the printhead is installed.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
