Hi @NehaBK,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

The error you're encountering typically indicates that there is a conflict between the print settings you've selected. Here are a few steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that the paper size you have loaded in the printer matches the size you have selected in the print settings. In this case, make sure you have legal-sized paper loaded.
  • Verify that the duplex printing option ("Print on both sides: flip on long edge") is supported for the legal paper size by your printer.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that your printer drivers are up to date. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.

Reset Print Settings:

  • Sometimes, resetting the print settings to default and then reselecting your desired options can resolve conflicts.
  • Open the print dialog box, reset the settings, and then choose "Print on both sides" and "Legal" paper size again.

Use HP Smart App:

  • If you're not already using it, try printing through the HP Smart app. This app often handles print settings more smoothly and can resolve conflicts automatically.

Manual Adjustment:

  • If the automatic resolution option does not work, manually adjust the settings:
    • Open the document you want to print.
    • Go to the print settings.
    • Select the correct paper size (Legal) and duplex option (flip on long edge).
    • Make sure the printer is set to print using these settings.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, firmware updates can fix known issues and improve compatibility.

Kindly check the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
