I bought a HP Officejet 6954 from a yard sale. I signed up for instantink and had my cartridges mailed and received them today. I installed the cartridges, but when I go to print my pages are blank. Can anyone assist with why my printer is not actually printing ink on the page when I go to print.

Were there any cartridges in the printer before you got the Instant Ink cartridges?  The Officejet 6954 has separate ink cartridges and printhead.  If the ink cartridges were removed when you got the printer it is likely the printhead "plumbing" is clogged with dried ink.  

 

It may be possible to recover the printhead as shown in the video here, although if the cartridges were left out of the printer for days or more it is unlikely:

Actually after i posted this question I ran all cycles of the print clean and then it worked so anyone else with the same problem run print clean and complete all the suggested cycles to clean the print head that is what worked for me.
