replaced both yellow and magenta cartridges on a MFP M277dw printer with genuine HP 201x cartridges and get a cartridge is imcompatible message (same cartridge old as new)

I see that you are facing an issue with your printer cartridges.

 

Kindly refer to the steps from this link to troubleshoot and let me know if that resolves the issue.

 

Also, update the printer firmware by clicking on this link.

All three cartridges had a statement saying "Intended for distribution and use within the appointed territory in Europe Russia, CIS, Middle East, and Africa only. Unauthorized distribution may result in legal action." Got them from Amazon. Certainly hope they return my money.
