Replaced color ink cartridge for the first time.  The alignment paper has blue color print.  Is that OK?

Hi @SKG10 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If the alignment paper from your HP ENVY Photo 7858 All-In-One Printer is printing with a blue color tint after you replaced the color ink cartridge, it may indicate an issue with the color alignment or calibration. Here are Troubleshooting steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check for Proper Installation:

  • Make sure that the color ink cartridge is installed correctly and securely. Ensure that you've removed any protective tape or packaging that may be on the new cartridge.

Printer Alignment:

  • Perform a printer alignment or calibration process. This is usually done through the printer software on your computer. Open the HP printer software on your Windows 11 computer and look for options related to printer maintenance, alignment, or calibration. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.

Print a Test Page:

  • Print a test page to check if the issue persists. This can be done through the printer software or directly from the printer's control panel. Verify if the test page shows all the colors correctly.

Check Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that the ink levels are adequate in all color cartridges. Low ink levels can affect print quality. The printer software or the printer's control panel usually provides information about ink levels.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure that your printer drivers are up to date. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your HP ENVY Photo 7858 printer.

Clean Printheads:

  • If the issue persists, you may need to clean the printheads. Many printers have a utility for cleaning printheads that can be accessed through the printer software on your computer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
