Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet 8022e is streaking your pictures, the issue is likely due to one of the following.
Check Ink Levels
- Open the HP Smart app or your printer’s control panel to check ink levels.
- If a cartridge is low, replace it with a new genuine HP cartridge.
Run Printhead Cleaning
- On the printer’s touchscreen, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Clean Printhead.
- This process will remove clogs that cause streaks.
- If needed, repeat the cleaning 2-3 times.
Align the Printhead
- Go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Align Printhead.
- Follow the instructions to print and scan an alignment page.
Use High-Quality Paper
- Low-quality or incompatible paper can cause streaking.
- Try using HP-branded photo paper or high-quality inkjet paper.
Check the Cartridges & Printhead for Clogs
- Open the printer and inspect the cartridges and printhead for any dried ink.
- Use a lint-free cloth lightly dampened with distilled water to clean contacts.
Adjust Print Settings
- When printing photos, go to Printer Preferences and adjust:
- Print Quality: Set to Best
- Paper Type: Match the paper you’re using
- Enable Borderless Printing (if available)
Update Printer Firmware & Drivers
- Check for updates using HP Smart or on HP’s support website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
