Can my office jet pro 6978 print for sublimation? If so, is there a special ink and where do I get it? Does HP sell the ink and sublimation paper?

No, HP doesn't offer any low end sublimation printers, only professional.

That printer model is highly not recommended to be switched for sublimation. You will need to get a sublimation ink and the result will probably be from poor to unacceptable.
