My printer is giving me a error message the indicated cartridges are not communicating correctly with the printer my ink is ok

It sounds like your HP ENVY 5055 printer is having trouble recognizing the cartridges, even though the ink levels are fine. 

 

Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

 

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.

 

Clean the Cartridge Contacts:

  • Open the printer and remove the cartridges.
  • Use a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol to gently clean the electrical contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer.

 

Reinstall the Cartridges:

  • Ensure the cartridges are properly seated in their slots. Remove and reinsert them carefully.

 

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Visit the HP Support website to check for firmware updates for your printer model. Outdated firmware can sometimes cause communication errors.

 

Check Cartridge Compatibility:

  • Verify that you are using genuine HP cartridges compatible with the ENVY 5055. Third-party or refilled cartridges might cause communication issues.

 

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait for 60 seconds, reconnect the power cord, and turn the printer back on.
