Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

has 2 cartridges and toner low and replaced 19 a   due to increased capacity still states toner low and have improved print quality.  Do I have to change both?

Hi,

The printer have 1 toner cartridge (17a) and an Imaging Drum (19a).

 

When you get a Low Cartridge error you would need to replace the toner cartridge, when an Imaging Drum getting low you would need to replace it.

 

With a Low Cartridge error you would need to get a new 17a Cartridge, you would always need to replace only the one indicated, not both and not by its capacity, the Imaging Drum is intended for much more print jobs than a Print Cartridge but those are different supplies with a different purpose:
