Hi @Irene108,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP DeskJet 4130e printing test pages repeatedly is often due to several potential reasons. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to help resolve this issue.

Complete Initial Setup:

Ensure that the initial setup process of your printer is complete. Some printers print test pages until the setup is fully completed, including software installation and alignment.

Printer Alignment:

If the printer detects misalignment or a need to calibrate, it may keep printing test pages. Run the alignment process manually:

  • Load the alignment page.
  • Follow the instructions on the printer's display or in the HP Smart app to complete the alignment.

Printer Queue:

Check if there are any pending jobs in the print queue that might be causing the printer to reprint the test page:

  • On your computer, go to "Devices and Printers."
  • Right-click on your HP DeskJet 4130e printer and select "See what's printing."
  • Cancel any pending print jobs.

Firmware Update:

Outdated firmware can cause various issues, including repeated test page printing. Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Check for any available firmware updates and install them.

Reset the Printer:

Resetting the printer can resolve many issues:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

Reinstall Printer Software:

Sometimes, reinstalling the printer software can help resolve persistent issues:

  • Uninstall the printer software from your computer.
  • Download and install the latest software and drivers from the HP Support website.

Check for Any Paper Jams:

Ensure there are no paper jams or foreign objects inside the printer, which can sometimes cause it to behave erratically.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
