Hi @Sierra53,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-In-One Printer is not printing in color, there could be several reasons for this issue. Here's a step-by-step troubleshooting guide to help you resolve the problem.

  • Check Ink Levels: Ensure that your color ink cartridges have sufficient ink. If any cartridge is low or empty, replace it with a new one.
  • Print Settings: Verify that the print settings are configured to print in color. When you select "Print" from your computer, make sure the color option is enabled.
  • Printer Software: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers and software installed on your computer. Sometimes outdated software can cause printing issues.
  • Printer Settings: Access the printer settings through the control panel or the HP printer software on your computer. Make sure that the default print mode is set to color.
  • Test Print: Print a test page to check if the printer is capable of printing in color. You can usually do this from the printer's control panel menu.
  • Clean Print Heads: If the color ink cartridges are installed correctly and have sufficient ink but the prints still lack color, it's possible that the print heads may be clogged. Most printers have a maintenance option to clean the print heads. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform this task.
  • Alignment: Perform a print head alignment to ensure that the printer is properly calibrated for color printing. This option is usually available in the printer settings menu.
  • Restart Printer and Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve printing issues. Turn off both your printer and computer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn them back on.
  • Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues and improve printer performance.

Following these steps should help you diagnose and resolve the issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-In-One Printer not printing in color.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
