@natnatforreal, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printer Won't Print with Full Ink Cartridges!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Here are some potential solutions to resolve the issue of your HP printer not printing even though the ink cartridges are full:

Check for Error Messages:

  • Examine the printer’s control panel or attached computer for any error messages. This can help identify specific issues such as paper jams, ink cartridge errors, or connectivity problems.

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the printer power cord from the power source.
  • Wait about 10 seconds, then plug it back in and turn on the printer.

Check Ink Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the ink cartridges are correctly installed. Remove each cartridge and reinsert it to make sure it is seated properly.
  • Replace any ink cartridges with known working cartridges if possible, or ensure the current cartridges are compatible with your printer model.

Clean the Printhead:

  • Follow the printer’s maintenance procedures to automatically clean the printhead. This can often be found in the printer’s software or through the control panel.
  • If necessary, manually clean the printhead contacts using instructions in the printer manual.

Check Paper Quality and Loading:

  • Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray and that the type of paper being used is supported by your printer.
  • Remove any jammed paper or bits of paper that may be obstructing the paper path.

Reset the Printer Settings:

  • Go to the printer’s settings menu and perform a settings reset back to factory defaults.

Check Connectivity and Settings:

  • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your device (via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, or USB).
  • Make sure your printer is selected as the default printer in your device settings.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
