Hi @Alnie,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'd be happy to help you troubleshoot the issue with your HP printer's yellow color not printing. Here are a few steps you can try.
- Check Ink Levels: Make sure the yellow ink cartridge has enough ink. You can usually check ink levels through your printer's software or control panel.
- Clean Print Head: Sometimes, the print head may be clogged, preventing ink from flowing properly. Most printers have a utility for cleaning the print head. You can usually find this in the printer settings or maintenance menu. Run the cleaning cycle, and then try printing again.
- Alignment: It's also possible that the print head is out of alignment. Many printers have an automatic alignment feature that you can access through the printer's settings menu. Running an alignment may help resolve the issue.
- Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer settings are configured correctly. Sometimes, settings like grayscale or black-only printing can cause the printer to ignore certain color cartridges. Make sure your settings are set to print in color.
- Try Another Yellow Cartridge: If none of the above steps work, it's possible that the yellow ink cartridge is faulty or empty. Try replacing it with a new one to see if that resolves the issue.
- Update Printer Drivers: Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause printing issues. You can usually download the latest drivers from the HP website.
If you've tried all of these steps and the issue persists, it may be a hardware problem with the printer itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
