Hi @hayath1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the yellow ink isn’t printing after refilling it, even though red and blue are working, try the following steps to resolve the issue.
Check the Ink Cartridge Installation:
- Ensure the yellow ink cartridge is properly installed. Remove and reinsert it to confirm it's seated correctly.
Clean the Printhead:
- Use the printer’s built-in printhead cleaning function. This can often be found in the printer's settings or maintenance menu. Perform the cleaning cycle to clear any blockages.
Check for Air Bubbles:
- Sometimes, air bubbles can get trapped in the cartridge. Gently tap the cartridge to release any trapped air bubbles.
Perform a Printhead Alignment:
- Run a printhead alignment through your printer’s maintenance menu. This can help ensure the printhead is aligned correctly and may resolve printing issues.
Check Ink Levels:
- Verify that the yellow ink level is sufficient. Even after refilling, the printer might not recognize the new ink if it was not properly added or if there’s an issue with the cartridge.
Inspect for Leaks:
- Check if there is any ink leakage or residue around the cartridge and printhead area. Clean any spills or dried ink with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure that your printer drivers are up-to-date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause printing issues.
Perform a Test Print:
- Try printing a test page or diagnostic page from your printer's settings to see if yellow prints. This can help determine if the issue is with the ink or the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
