Hi @shumookh,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're seeing yellow instead of green after changing the cartridge, here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Check Cartridge Installation: Ensure that the new cartridge is installed correctly. Sometimes, if a cartridge is not seated properly, it can cause color issues.
  • Perform Print Head Alignment: Go to your printer's settings and look for the print head alignment option. This can help correct any misalignment issues that might be affecting color output.
  • Run a Print Head Cleaning Cycle: Most printers have a print head cleaning option in the settings. Running this cycle can help clear any clogs or issues with ink flow.
  • Check Ink Levels: Verify that all color cartridges have sufficient ink. Even if the yellow cartridge is new, other cartridges could be low and affecting color mixing.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Sometimes outdated drivers can cause printing issues. Check if there are any updates available for your printer's drivers and install them.
  • Check Color Settings: Ensure that your printer's color settings are configured correctly. Sometimes color profiles can affect how colors are printed.
  • Test with Different Paper: Sometimes the type of paper can affect color output. Try printing on different types of paper to see if the issue persists.
  • Factory Reset: As a last resort, you might consider performing a factory reset on the printer. This can sometimes resolve persistent issues but will reset all your printer settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
