HP DeskJet Ink Advantage Ultra 4729
Microsoft Windows 11

Help! The printer stopped printing with the required field parameters. Right now, he doesn't care what field settings are set, he's moving out. I used to type normally and without problems. Not now

@Kroyze, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage Ultra 4729 is not printing with the correct margins, and you're in a hurry to get it resolved. Let's get this sorted quickly.

Check Page Setup in the Application

  • Open the document you're trying to print.
  • Go to File > Page Setup or File > Print Setup.
  • Ensure the margins are set correctly (e.g., 1 inch or 25.4 mm on all sides).
  • Make sure the paper size matches what’s loaded in the printer (e.g., A4 or Letter).

Verify Printer Settings in Windows 11

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your printer > Printing preferences.
  • Under the Paper/Quality or Layout tab, ensure:
    • The correct paper size is selected.
    • Scaling is set to 100% or Actual Size (not “Fit to Page” or “Shrink to Fit”).

Use HP Smart App to Align and Diagnose

  • Download or open the HP Smart app.
  • Select your printer > Printer Settings > Tools > Align Printer.
  • Also try Diagnose & Fix under the Printer Settings menu.

Update or Reinstall the Printer Driver

  • Visit the official HP Support page.
  • Download and install the latest full feature driver for Windows 11.
  • Restart your PC and try printing again.

Reset the Printer

  • With the printer turned on, unplug the power cord from the back.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
