HP Recommended

I have an HP Office Jet 6978 All in One.  I have printed about 40 things total on this printer and had to change the ink about 3 times already cause it always dries up.  I now have a bunch of error messages including:

 

*Remove any jammed paper and make sure the paper tray is installed properly.  (There is no jammed paper and the paper tray is installed properly.

 

*The printer was not turned off properly.  To avoid damaging the printer, always press ON button to turn off.  

 

*There is a problem with the printer or print system.  Turn the printer Off, then ON.  If you continue to get this message, contact HP 0x6100004a.  

 

This was a pretty expensive printer and it has been a huge headache with my ink issues and now I can't print anything or get off these error screens that are not correct.
