I am not familiar with the paper -- the paper weight is within what the printer can handle.
Printer generally handles non-HP brand paper that is high-quality and meets the specifications for paper size, type, and print surface.
True - pushing paper into the printer can cause the printer to jam.
True - the Specification document does not include this information.

Preparation
Load the paper into the printer using the instructions in the User Guide.
Example - Pages 16-17
Next,
Alert the printer to the paper change / loaded paper.
Watch for a message after the paper is loaded and the tray is closed
and
"Change or retain the paper settings on the printer display"
OR -- if available, use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) to change / update / check the paper size / type - Tray and Paper Management.
General Example - Retain / Modify (Edit) / Check Paper Size & Type - Tray and Paper
Retain_Printing_Preferences_17
Next,
The rest of "what to do" depends on several factors, including:
- Whether the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software is installed
- The software / application program you are using to open, view, configure, and submit the job to the printer
- The job / shortcut settings - how and whether configured and compatible
