Short answer:  Yes

 

The entire answer can be more complicated than that.

Paper is more than "just weight" - paper type, print surface, and paper size must be considered.

The printer software might need to be installed.

The job settings must be compatible and complete the for job using the heavier paper.

The following table contains the recommended maximum amount of paper to use in each tray.
note:
Output tray capacity is affected by the type of paper and the amount of ink you use. HP recommends that you empty the output tray frequently.
