Printer 2800 e will not print after paper jam. I just re-set the unit but it sounds like its printing but the paper is blank after the printing process. Have you had this problem before?

Hi @Rmturner09
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
That’s frustrating, especially after resetting the printer. Blank pages after a paper jam usually indicate an issue with the ink system or printhead alignment. Let’s go through some structured troubleshooting steps to get your HP DeskJet 2855e printing properly again.
Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
1. Check Ink Levels
- Open the HP Smart app or printer settings to check ink levels.
- If cartridges are low or empty, replace them.
2. Remove and Reinsert Ink Cartridges
- Turn off the printer.
- Open the cartridge access door and remove both cartridges.
- Inspect for any damage or leaks.
- Reinsert them firmly and ensure they click into place.
3. Clean the Printhead
- Open the printer’s cartridge access door.
- Remove the printhead carefully.
- Use a lint-free cloth dampened with distilled water to clean the electrical contacts.
- Let it dry for a few minutes before reinserting.
4. Run a Printhead Cleaning Cycle
- On the printer’s touchscreen, go to Setup > Tools > Clean Printhead.
- Print a test page to check if ink is flowing properly.
5. Perform a Hard Reset
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on.
6. Update Printer Firmware
- Visit HP’s official support page here and download the latest firmware update.
- Install the update and restart the printer.
7. Check for Paper Debris
- Open the printer and inspect for any leftover paper fragments.
- Use compressed air or a lint-free cloth to clean the rollers.
8. Try a Different Print Job
- Print a diagnostic page from the printer settings.
- If the issue persists, try printing from another device.
Let me know how it goes! If you need more details on any step, I’m happy to refine the instructions further.
