No matter how many times I print on a 4R paper, whatever the brand of 4R paper are made of, regardless of how many piece of photo papers I put in, the printer is unable to feed the paper correctly in place and the printing result is unpredictable as a result.

Anyone experienced the same issue?

I doubt it is a major design flaw for the HP Smart Tank 790 printer which feed the photo from under.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

Hi,

What exact photo paper do you use?

What is the paper thickness or weight? the printer supports 220 up to 300 GSM Photo Paper for inkjet printers.

What is the paper type you use? you would need to select the correct paper type for both the printer and its driver, such as Photo Paper Matte, Glossy, etc.

From the HP Smart app click your printer icon, then click on Paper and Tray Management if listed( if it is not listed click on Advanced Settings, select the Settings tab and then under preferences select Paper and Tray Management and ensure the correct paper size and type are set for the printer.
