HP OfficeJet 5255 All-in-One Printer

the front of my 5255 paper drawer broke off when something fell on it.  I was in the thrift store and saw a 5055 for $10 with an intact drawer.  at home i removed the six screws, and tried to replace it carefully.  one spring went flying, but i was able to put it back.  something else may have come loose or out.  i put the 5255 back together, it printed one page correctly and now says "Paper Jam"  Remove any Jammed paper make make sure the tray is installed properly"   I have removed and replaced and very clearly there is no paper in the path.  I am frustrated with myself because it worked fine just had a broken tray front, and now its not working at all.

Looking for suggestions, direction etc.  I did test the 5055 beforehand, and it went thru the whole printing thing just fine, just the ink was an issue, so i have a source of spare parts.

Thanks for any help in advance.
