5520 cleared a paper jam now black isn’t printing. Put in new cartridge still not printing.

I cleared a  Paper jam in my Photosmart 5520 printer now black doesn’t print. I did all the diagnostics and even put in a new HP black cartridge and black still doesn’t print. The other colors print.  I cleared the vent on the cartridge still doesn’t print. Help!  All my cartridges are new so I don’t want to replace the printer yet😕. Cartridges cost more than a new printer.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. 

• Are you able to make black copies from the printer?

This seems like a hardware issue with the printer. If you have already performed the steps from the document Black or Color Ink Not Printing, Other Print Quality Issues and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
