I have loaded about 4 sheets of 7x5 photo paper but it is a very tight fit in the tray. I have printed one photo but the remaining sheets are jammed in the printer and I cannot see how to remove the small paper tray to clear the blockage

Hi @Kennyg20,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Dealing with a paper jam in an HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e, especially when using smaller paper sizes like 7x5 photo paper, can be challenging. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you safely remove the jammed paper and clear the blockage:
Step-by-Step Instructions
Turn Off the Printer
- Press the power button to turn off the printer.
- Unplug the printer from the power source to ensure safety.
Remove All Loose Paper
- Open the input tray and remove any loose sheets of paper that you can easily access.
Access the Paper Tray
- Pull out the paper input tray. For most HP OfficeJet models, the tray should slide out smoothly. If it feels stuck, try gently wiggling it from side to side while pulling.
Remove Jammed Paper from the Input Tray
- If the jammed paper is visible in the input tray, carefully remove it by gently pulling it out. Avoid tearing the paper, as torn pieces can be difficult to remove and can cause further jams.
Check the Output Tray and Paper Path
- Look into the output tray and the paper path for any pieces of paper that might be stuck. Remove any visible paper bits.
Open the Front Cover
- Open the front cover of the printer to access the print mechanism. You might need to lift a latch or press a button to open the cover.
Remove Paper from the Print Path
- If paper is stuck in the print path, gently pull it out from the front. Be careful not to damage the printer’s internal components.
Use Manual Paper Release Mechanism (if available)
- Some HP printers have a manual paper release mechanism. Refer to your printer’s manual to see if this feature is available and how to use it.
Reassemble and Test
- After removing all jammed paper, reassemble any parts you have taken apart.
- Close the input and output trays, as well as the front cover.
- Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on.
Check Printer Settings
- Ensure the paper size settings in the printer software match the paper size you are using (7x5 photo paper).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
