A paper jam & access to ink cartridges to remove jam

I have a paper jam and went to both the HP website and You Tube for help. This is a new printer and I have never had to open the ink cartridge cover before to get to a paper jam. The ink cartridge cover will not open. The right side will lift but the left side won’t budge. I even tried using a knife to try and  pry it up but it doesn’t budge. Suggestions?

You need to lift the scanner glass and top cover at the same time. If you open the top cover first then the lower (scanner) part is locked.

You are a genius! I spent hours on the HP website and looking at the manual plus You Tube and never once did I see it mentioned to lift both the cover and glass at the same time. Thank you SO much for your help!
